Thanks for you reply..!
Can you pl take a look in the link below under section 2.2. Install the INF files and the USB device in 4th point.
There the point is mentioned; of generating the PNF from INF...

Just to echo the concerns Dennis has had: You're not looking to get any kind of useful information fromt his exercise any time soon, right? I understand you're doing it as a learning process which is OK but if the reason is any other then you're probably going to waste a lot of your time. Since YOUR time doesn't cost ME anything, I'll answer what I can.
I've never noticed a PNF file in my workings with USB. Could be that the file is created somewhere deep inside th Windows folder...... When you attach your device after doing all the other steps, soes it get loaded as a VISA device? Can you show the device in your device manager view on the PC so that we can see how it's being initialised?

Hello Thank you...! Yes you are right..! The .PNG file is getting created; Now I have proceeded to next step;
I don't see the device in the Measurement & Automation Explorer under "Devices and Interfaces"
I'm I missing any settings ....????

Ah, HID, that's the bit I was missing.....
In windows 7 you CANNOT replace the system-default HID driver with any other (Ask Bill why). My nuggets on HID communication with VISA will NOT work in Windows 7.....
Sorry.
Shane.

Hello Shane,
Yes you are right..! It is a drivers issue...!
I could solve the issue by updating the NI drivers; I could get the DVD form an NI Application engineer; but according to him we can also get them online....
Thanks..!
