Cannot detect instrument using NI_GPIB interface to Keithley 2000 multimeter

Hi

I am having real problems communicating to my Kiethley 2000 multimeter across my GPIB remote link.

I have configured all my other instruments fine and they are talking.  When I "scan for instruments" using measurement and automation explorer they are there.  However, as soon as plug the Keithley 2000 micrometer in nothing works.  I get the no instruments found error message pop up on my screen.

I can't understand I have downloaded the drivers from http://sine.ni.com/apps/we/niid_web_display.download_page?p_id_guid=E3B19B3E90B0659CE034080020E74861

Please somebody help!!!

What's the error message? The driver has nothing to do with basic GPIB communication. Does the instrument have a unique address? What happens if you only have the Keithley connected and nothing else?

The multimeter had previously be used in RS -232 serial mode and this was stored in the memory. 

I've changed the setting and now it's working.
