Clock rate for USB-8451

Hello all,

I have been trying to test the limits for clock rate of the USB-8451 using a scope. I found that when I specify in Labview any value above 6 MHz (with the exception of 12 MHz which is max value USB-8451 is rated for) the clock is actually running at 6 MHz. What is causing this odd behaviour? Thanks.

It's not really odd at all. Have you looked in the manual for the supported clock rates? There are a fixed number of rates and the rate is not continuously adjustable.

Thanks, I guess I was under the impression that these devices supported a continuous spectrum of frequencies.
