Communicating with instrument with Labview via GPIB

[How do I setup a communication link betw]

Hi

 I need to communicate with Agilent  E4432B signal generator using Labview 8.0 via Agilent E5810A LAN/GPIB gateway. I failed so far, is there any other way to communicate with this instrument without using the LAN/GPIB gateway. please help

You can communicate with it via GPIB. I take it you don't have a GPIB card, which is why you're using the gateway? What's failing? Are you able to see the device from your computer in the first place? It should have its own IP address.
