I am doing an experiments trying to let two GPIB cards communicate with each other. The idea is to link two GPIB PCI cards on two different computers with a GPIB cable. Then in the Measurement&Automation
Explorer of computer A I tried to find the GPIB card on B computer B. But I cannot find any GPIB instrument or card displayed after scanning.
I have also tried to configure one GPIB card property to be the system controller and the other one not.
Also their GPIB primary addresses have been set to be different(0 and 1). But again there is nothing found as the indication of the GPIB card.
The reason for us to try this experiment is that we want to implement the idea to use the GPIB card both as a master and slave. Being a master, the computer or microcontroller can send out GPIB commands and get response. As a slave, it can monitor any incoming commands and respond.\
Is there any solution for GPIB interface to switch between master and slave mode?
