Configuring HP 34401A via Serial Port in MAX

I have HP 34401A instrument that can communicate via Serial Port that I would like to configure in Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) and program with VISA. How do I add the device in MAX?

I've downloaded Evaluation copy of Measurement studio for VB 6.0. I want to control this device using Measurement studio VB 6.

You don't add serial devices in MAX. MAX will detect your com port and you can use MAX to communicate to the device by right clicking on the com port and selecting "Open VISA Test Panel'. The only configuration that you can do in MAX is to set the com port settings. At http://sine.ni.com/apps/utf8/niid_web_display.model_page?p_model_id=978 you can see that there are a couple of drivers avaiable for use with Measurement Studio though it says that only one is useable with a serial interface.
