Connect instrument to pc to pilatate with LabVIEW using gpib scheduler

I have done!!! OK!!! I'VE ISTALLED LabVIEW7 and Driver NI-VISA and GPIB USB B driver. With MAX I can see my device, but... how can now controll it with LabVIEW?

But the icon VISA abc is intermetted and the first line on left to its icon violet have a contorn black that move itself... but What i can do whit this? I don't understand... I desire to set frequency, amplitude, ecc. ecc. What I can do?

Turn off the pause mode (click on the pause button on the toolbar) and just let the VI run.

If you want to control other parameters of the instrument, you have to load the appropriate function in the driver. Go to Help and select Show Context Help. The help window will have a description of the VI as you move your mouse over it on the palette.

p.s. The front panel VISA Resource does not look correct. It may be a very old driver and would need to be modified. If you get an error with the initialize function, report back. Too bad you chose LabVIEW 7.1 over 8. That's a decision that I still don't understand.

1. Metti il mouse sul punto rosso.
2. Fare click sul bottone destro del mouse.
3. Selezionare "Clear Breakpoint". ("Cancella punto di interruzione")  (picture)
   
4. Salvare il VI.

Aprire la "Getting Started" esempio:  (picture)

Altre funzioni sono nel "Configuration", "Action/Status", ecc. tavolozze.

Dennis Knutson I have click on pause and after on play, but the result is showed in the Figure.

I don't understand what is the error.

I have a questions:

1) What is the icon VISA abc?

2) What means \n* CLS\n?

3) What means Visa session at the left?

4) What is the two icons at the right?

5) What means SET in blue?

6) What is DUP VI at the right?

as I already mentioned, beginning is quite easy. As a general rule: Please use only RSSMIQ*.vi and RSNRTZ*.vi for open/close instrument session and for remote control!

For the NRT-Z please have a look at the attached screen copies.
