I have a NI USB-6501 DAQ. The device does not support acquiring continuous samples. I need to continually poll the DAQ for signal changes. I was thinking of putting the DAQ assist inside a loop, and just re-acquring 1 sample over and over. Would this cause performance issues? I'd like to run the loop about 1000 times per second.
Refer to this benchmark [broken link removed; article no longer available]. Your results could vary greatly and there could be large amounts of jitter.
