Hey cjim,
The 8431/8 connector breaks out into eight DB-9 connectors, and the 485i/2 contains two DB-9 connectors. The DB-9 pinouts on both of these devices are the exact same. A pinout reference manual for serial devices can be found here : http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/371253b.pdf

Hey cjim,
I need to check with our R&D team to see if I can release this information. It might take a little while, but I'll definitely get back to you when I hear from them.

Hi cjim,
If you would like to obtain the 68-pin SCSI pinout, please contact us directly so that we can provide you with this information. You can create a service request at www.ni.com/ask , and select either Phone NI or E-mail NI so that you can speak with one of our Applications Engineers. When you speak with one of our Engineers, you should reference this Discussion Forum thread so that we can provide you with the best support possible. Thanks!

Was this question ever answered? I need the same info.
I'm trying to upgrade from an old 6810 (68 SCSI) to a new PCI-8431/2 (DB-9).

Hi JX5000,
You can refer to the connections section of the Serial Hardware and Software Help. The link to this is below.
