Hello AP2006,

To answer this question we need a few more details.  What operating system are you trying to develop for and what version of LabVIEW do you want to use?

Hello AP2006,

I do not think you will be able to use VISA for this purpose, however there is a KnowledgeBase that may help you.  Take a look at the KB Accessing Hardware Registers and Physical Memory in Windows NT/2000/XP with LabVIEW [article no longer available].  I hope this answers your question.

Let us know if you have any more questions about this.

Is the custom board already designed and built? With pci, you can use VISA quite easily. See https://www.ni.com/docs/en-US/bundle/ni-visa/page/using-visa-driver-wizard-to-program-pxipci.html .
