If you don't see anything in MAX, then trying LabVIEW and a VISA resource name is just a waste of time. Try a different cable, try connecting a different instrument to see if there is a problem with the controller, ensure that the instrument is set for GPIB communication.

Thank you for giving me ideas:)

I solved it, by installing ni488.2 driver, which was missing.

Now I see some instruments through the GPIB connection, like a thermometer, but I still don't see the interfertometer.

I think the problem is, that it is in listener mode, but I can't tell him anything,( like go into Talker mode), because i can't choose it from the list.

Have you got any ideas what to do?
