EIP575 Frequency counter command problem

Hi

I have used the VISA Test Panel to connect to my counter via a Keysight USP-GPIB adaptor. I can read data and reset the instrument with the Clear command but no other commands seem to work? Any suggestions where I am going wrong? If I could just set the Frequency band and resolution for now that would be a start.
