Extra character after IBEOS character

I occasionally get an extra character after the IBEOS character when reading data from an instrument, and would like to know what are the typical causes for this and any solutions for this.

Hi,

This is not a common problem. I found a couple of reports on similar errors in old version of VISA in win16 and Linux.
More info on your system would be helpful. OS, VISA version, GPIB hardware used, etc. Include any information you consider important.

Can you check something for me...
I just checked my profile and I noticed I had asked a question...
Well, I've never asked a question, and I don't even know what this one is about...

I did notice that last week, the links were getting screwed up and I was able to view other peoples profiles, so it maybe related to that...
You can delete the question, or move it out somewhere, or leave it. Just that the original poster would not have seen the answer probably...
