GPIB Analyzer Tool

Cannot get the GPIB Analyzer Tool to work. The GPIB Analyzer Tool is part of the Measurement & Automation Explorer provided by NI. I have ran the NI-488.2 Troubleshooting Wizard with successful completion. The problem is the buttons on the Bus Monitor (Enable Accept Byte, Accept Byte, etc. buttons) and Action Window (Off, Capture, Capture & Trigger buttons) are grayed out and unselectable. What needs to be done to get these buttons to not be grayed out and selectable?

Do you actually have a "+" version of a GPIB board (i.e. PCI-GPIB+)? These are the only boards that have bus analyzer capability.

What are the other ways to obtain the commands sent to the GPIB Interface? I am aware of NI Spy, which captures the function calls to the GPIB Interface.

NI-Spy is the only thing I'm aware of. What exactly do you need to do that NI-spy can't provide?

The GPIB Analyzer Software Tool has the ability to set a trigger value and capture the data and handshaking activity on the GPIB bus, leading up to and after the trigger has occured. NI Spy captures function calls, GPIB Analyzer captures the handshaking and data transactions on the bus.

I understand the differences between the two tools. I bought a + card a few years ago. I was just curious about why you needed the addtional hardware control/monitoring.
