HELLO, I Am trying to interface my GPIB instrument with HOST computer through LabVIEW, unfortunately my GPIB instrument doesnot respond to *IDN? QUERY. Could not find out what is problem with this. Could anyone can help in this regard. Ameer

So it is very old and predates the requirement for *IDN? support. You don't have a problem.
