GPIB-ENET/100 on Ubuntu 10.04

Hello,

I have a couple of GPIB-ENET/100 devices and wish to use them under Ubuntu 10.04 (64bit). Is there a way of installing the appropriate drivers and software? I assume I need something to replace my Measurement and Automation software thats currently running under Windows too (I imagine the replacement is NI VISA or some such?).

Any help on where to begin and with step by step instructions would be hugely appreciated.

Thank-you kindly!

Hi,

While NI don't officially support Ubuntu (or debian based kernels) it is normally possible to get it working, the 8.04 instructions can be found here: http://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-4140 and I'd also advise looking at some of the Linux Groups on the community pages.

Kind Regards,

Applications Engineer
