Hello NI,
I have noticed a bug with my GPIB-USB-B and the new LabVIEW 2011 I have recently upgraded to (from 8.2).
I have included three files, firstly my PC's dxdiag, secondly my first IOtrace log of the bug and thirdly how I fixed the bug.
Basically a visa timeout error keeps occuring after I cycle instrument power and close/re-open a vi which has been executed to control a piece of hardware in my lab. This is with 488.2 2.8.1 installed.
I seem to be able to replicate the problem everytime.
However I installed my old driver which I have used with LabVIEW 8.2 and 8.5 (came in the box with the GPIB-USB-B many years ago). The driver seems to work flawlessly and there is no timeout no matter how hard I try to replicate the fault.
Regards

Hi Pulse1,
Thank you for getting in touch. This KnowledgeBase article shows that NI-488.2 2.8.1 is compatible with LabVIEW 2011. Also, NI-488.2 2.5.2 was shipped with LabVIEW 8.2 and 8.5 so I guess this is what you are using now and is working.
Did you try re-installing NI-488.2 2.8.1? It may not have installed correctly the first time, could you try it again?
Let me know how you get on.
