GPIB USB B windows XP Interface problem

Hi,

I am having some troubles with the GPIB USB B adapter.

I installed the NI-488.2 driver.

The computer recognizes that a new hardware was plugged in but the getting wizard fails to

connect with the hardware(snapshot is attached) and in the MAX I don't see any interface.

I tried to uninstall and install again but it didn't help . Each time I selected the proper interface(plug and play)

Is there anything else I can do?

Thanks Leonid

I got a couple of trouble shooting ideas that may help you here.
First, let’s try installing the NI-488.2 version 3.0.2; also add in the NI-VISA 5.1.2 drivers.
Second, let’s try using this piece of hardware on a second computer; let’s see if that hardware is functioning correctly.

I also add the comment about the VISA driver. But in addition did you plug in the USB-GPIB hardware before you installed the driver? If so, then Windows enumerated the USB port imporperly. The driver for USB devices has to be installed before the device is plugged in. Uninstall all the drivers, remove the device and thy the driver install GPIB driver and then plug in the device. VUSA can be installed anytime.
