GPIB USB for Instron 4400

I want to use a docking station ( port replicator ) with a GPIB controller for an Instron 4400. It was suggested that I use a GPIB controller for USB. The Instron uses Series lX software. Has anyone done this? Will Instron's Series IX software work with GPIB USB?

I am not familiar with your particular instrument or software, but the NI-488.2 driver makes the actual GPIB interface used transparent.  As long as your software works with NI hardware through NI-VISA or NI-488.2 drivers you should be able to use any current NI GPIB controller without trouble.  The model you would be interested in is the GPIB-USB-HS.
