GPIB addressses not displayed in VISA control

Hi Anna

Now I am really puzzled.

When I downloaded back my VI from the post it ran OK.

Any way I installed as you suggested the latest VISA. But the problem is still there,on three different PCs.

I had a thought, can it be related to the visa32.dll that is located in Windows\system32?

I remember having some issues with the default windows installed there, and I replaced it with a different one.(both attached)

Thanks

Amos

Hi Amos,

Windows shouldn't install a default visa32.dll on your computer.  Looking at the properties of both dlls you attached, it looks like they were installed by NI-VISA; one for version 3.4, and one for 4.1. I assume you currently have the version 4.1 dll installed. To answer your question though, the issue you are seeing shouldn't really be affected by that dll.  If you right-click on the VISA resource control, select replace, and replace it with another VISA resource name control, does it populate with the correct devices?

What is the VISA class set to? You can find out by right-clicking and choosing "Select VISA class".  Also, I'll suggest checking the "I/O name filtering" settings to make sure nothing in there is causing the weird behavior.  Hope this helps!

Regards,
