GPIB operations for Ranal-Dana 1992 & BoonTon 82AD

Hi fellow members,

   I am now trying to communicate with Ranal-Dana 1992 & BoonTon 82AD VIA GPIB. AS I am very new to GPIB, I am really lost. I don't know how to start. Can anyone guide me with this (Sample code? Example?)?? BTW, I am coding with Visual Basic. Thanks in advance.

I would recomend using NI-VISA, National Instruments implementation of the VISA I/O standard to interface between Visual Basic and your Hardware.  Attached is a program that uses VISA commands to query an instrument.  You must know the expected commands for your instruments to use this example.
