I'm frustrated with my hodgepodge of equipment... blofeld desktop, bass station II, Logic Pro, ableton, acid, reason, ROLI LUMIkeys, MIDI controllers, basses and guitars, VSTs.... blah blah blah.
Everything kinda works but nothing just works perfectly all the time.
A pro audio friend who does film and tv suggested (long ago) that I just go with Native Instruments hardware and software because it's just such a good environment to work in. I ignored his advice, of course, and went about assembling this weird hodgepodge of equipment over the last year or so.
But, as a fan of Guy Michelmore on YouTube, I love watching his workflow and how he develops ideas. The way he uses his tools - keyboard, software, etc - feels very "familiar" to me, and like it would fit more naturally into my way of working with music.
I just noticed that Guy has a full NI setup... and I am seriously thinking about FINALLY taking my friend's advice and going for Komplete 13 and the S61, and just mothballing everything else.
I'd probably stick with Logic (since I'm on a brand new top of the line Mac Mini), because Ableton's interface is so frightening on a Mac 🙂 but ...
... I don't know what I don't know.
