HP6198 Switch/Load unit with labview

Hi,

I'm trying to control an HP6198 switch load unit with labview. It uses a parallel interface and an old active X driver (Which I have), but I'm having difficulty getting the driver to access the port. I have set it up for ECP mode. Has anyone ever tried to use this with labview before?

We have a very good tutorial on how to set up Parallel communication in LabVIEW that you might find useful.  Let me know if you have any questions!

Wow, I should have known this, it is really a nice doc. Especially now the lv8 stuff supports port access again, thanks

Thanks for the replies! I did get it working. Agilent no longer supports the device, and the documentation is sparce, so we had little information. But after finding a later version of the active x driver I got it to work. So if anyone ever needs to control this unit, I have had success with it!
