How can I get the Test Panel for the GPIB-VXI/C to open in MAX when I don't have it here?

MAX won't open a Test Panel for the GPIB-VXI/C if it doesn't see it.  I'm trying to get the basic code to read a couple dozen registers done at home before I go to work on Monday, but don't have the unit with me.

How can I get a Test Panel to open up in the Measurement and Automation Explorer when I don't have the target device online?

Jeff,

Unfortunately, there is not a way around this behavior.  Without a device detected, the test panel doesn't have anything to make a connection with.
