How do I disable Auto Serail polling, programmatically?

Is it possible to disable Auto serial polling programmatically?

I want to be able to turn off the Bit in the Measurement & Automation Explorer- see attached image

You can use the ibconfig function with the IbcAUTOPOLL option. Search the NI-488.2 help file for exact usage.
