HI
Can anyone tell me, how to connect WIKA DI35 digital indicator with RS 485 on PXI 8431 board. Terminals on indicator are marked as GND (RS), B(+) and A(-) so how to connect this terminals on pins in DB-9 connector? Maybe anyone knows where to find an example or driver for this indicator? I’m using

Hi Topko,
Here is an Knowledge Base that shows the pin out of our DB9 Connector. GND will need to be connected to pin 5 but you will have to determine what B(+) and A(-) actually are based on your devices manual. I looked on ni.com/idnet but I could not find an instrument driver for your DI35 device. You might check with the manufacturer to see if they provide a LabVIEW driver.

In manuals for this indicator - there where no useful information about connection on RS 485 (you can look yourselves on their homepage that particularly manuals). I tried all possible connection combinations with no response from indicator. Now, when I reed other problems with communications, I will try with different terminate characters in any possible connection. Results will be announced in this forum as soon as I perform tests on all of combinations. I'm sorry, that I don't have any other instrument with RS485 communication to test, so I can't be sure, if this DI35 RS 485 communication is working properly.
regards, Topko
