How to load an instrument driver on the Function palette just like default HP 34401A Multimeter ?

I just downloaded an Instrument (Agilent 8753 ES) driver from both the NI web-site and the Agilent website and installed it. But I can't figure out how I can create 'Getting Started.vi' under 'Function palette>>Instrument I/O>>Instrument Drivers' just like the default HP 34401A driver installed automatically with LabVIEW software.

Hi,

The "HP8753 Get Started.vi" can be found from the instrument palette under the Application Example VI's sub palette of the HP8753 VI's.

You can always used the file open and open the hp8753x.llb. the Get Started vi is one of the Top level VI's in the llb.

Dont forget that if you have LabVIEW open at the time you place the NI hp8753x folder in the labVIEW\instr.lib folder. or install the agilent PnP version, you will not see the new instrument in the instrument palette until you relaunch labview.
