How to open .spy file created with older version of NI Spy

Hello.

I have a .spy file with GPIB communication recorded using version 2.1 of NI Spy. Unfortunately, it can't be opened with version 2.7. Is there a utility to convert it? Is the format of the .spy file available so I can write my own decoding software?

I finally solved this by downloading an older version of the 488.2 package. I couldn't find it linked anywhere, but a little creativity with available download links did the trick.
