I am having trouble communicating with an SR245 using NI-488.2 GPIB, particularly when using ibrd commands.

I am having trouble communicating with an SR245 using NI-488.2 GPIB. It allows me to use ibwrt commands, but ibrd commands return EABO. It seems to me like a problem with the termination command is possible, but I can't figure out where to enter the correct command. ibeos asks me to enter a number when I believe that I need to enter cr or lf. Does anyone have any suggestions?

What termination method you are using? Are you sure you are using it the correct way? If you are using EOS then you can get some information from :
