I am transfering some software from an older XP machine to a newer one running LabWindows/CVI 8. The software previously worked, but I am apparently having a compatibility issue somewhere. It's a motion-control IVI driver package, and when I run it I get the error "The procedure entry point IviConfig_GetDriversessionSoftwareModuleReference could not be located in .... IviConfigServerCAPI.dll" (see attached screen dump). My software doesn't make this call directly, so it's got to be a second or third order reference from somewhere. Probably some software module wasn't updated properly and isn't compatible with IviConfigServerCAPI, but which one?
I have *
IVI Compliance Package 4.0
LabWindows/CVI 8.1
MAX 4.6.2
NI MotionAssistant 2.56
NI_DAQmx 9.0.2
NI-VISA 4.5.1
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello pblase,
The first thing that I recommend is upgrading to IVI Compliance Package 4.1. After it is installed, please check the version of "IviConfigServerCAPI.dll" located at C:\Program Files\IVI Foundation\IVI\Bin.
What hardware is your system controlling?
The new machine has Windows XP on it, correct? Was it a clean install before you started installing NI software?
Did you install the NI support software from a Device Drivers DVD or one download at a time? I recommend installing from a Device Drivers DVD, so that all of the versions are updated.
Please let us know how it goes,
NathanT
