Hi troy,
I tried that . When I press the LCL button i t was showing me 10 then i pressed LCL again then i punch 19 insead of 10. after this i runned the program again. but i did not see any thing at the Sweep oscillator. I changed frequency also CW5GHz. Did i done wright. IS LCL button is local button on the sweep oscillator.? please give me some more ideas. Thanks much for your help.

Hi troy,
At the front panel on right side ihave seen red X symbol. which ish showing me the following thing.
Error -1073807195 occurred at VISA Write in 8350%20Starting%20Example[2].vi
Possible reason(s):
VISA: (Hex 0xBFFF00A5) The interface type is valid, but the specified interface number is not configured. culd you please look into this error.

Siri, the error is why we are unable to control the sweeper.
What kind of GPIB interface are you using? Is it an National Instruments PCI card or USB unit or some other type? If you open MAX (Measurement and Automation Explorer) you should see the GPIB device listed (see attached).

I am able to communicate with Sweep occilator. Actual problem is with GPIB card pulled out. I am able to fix the problem. Could you please give me guidance with the next steps i.

Excellent!! It looks like you are now able to communicate with the sweeper.
Our next step is fairly simple. You will need to define what the generator needs to do in the test system and when in the test process it needs to happen. This will help you define what commands need to be sent to the generator and when. Sending commands to the generator will basically require the VI you have already used and knowing what the HPIB command is to make the generator do what you want.
I have setup the VI I posted earlier so that it can be used as a sub VI. I have it attached. If you dont have the manual for the 8350 to get the command set from let me know.
Since we have you at least communicating with the sweeper, and I have been having network issues here at the office (which is why I am slow responding lately), it may be easier for you running with direct communication. Feel free to email me at troy.otto@echostar.com

Hi troy,
How we can send all functions such as start , stop frequencies and power levels at a time. can you give me some guidence how we have implement all in one front panel.Thank you so much for your time and ideas.I'm attaching 8350B command set. I will look forward to hear from you.
