Has anyone successfully interfaced the IET OS-260 decade box with the LabVIEW environment? The instrument is fairly dated (2003 haha). It has an interface port, but I'm not quite sure what type. It looks like it may be RJ-10, but slightly smaller. I am still waiting on a reply from IET tech support for what type of cable it is exactly. While I waited for a reply from IET, I figured I would post something here to see if anyone had any experience with the IET. Thanks.

Hi jmountney,
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find any specific documentation about how to interface the IET OS-260 decade box with LabVIEW. However, there does appear to be software development kit, so it might be programmable. IET would need to tell you the command set and what interface to program it with. Otherwise, it does look like they have some other boxes that you can interface via Serial - an instrument driver IET publishes for the PRS Series Decade Box is available here.
Sorry I couldn't be of much more help!

Thank s Matthew,
I heard back from IET and they essentially gave me the same response. Although the OS-260 is nice piece of test equipment, it is unfortunately obsolete in terms of system integration with LabVIEW or any other acquisition software. Looks like I will have to see if the boss will fork over a few grand for some new gear.
