In the diagram it shows up as a string, but on the front panel it looks like a menu ring. I've tried looking for a this type of control in the Controls Palette but have been unsuccessful.
That control isn't available in LabVIEW as a drop down control. It was probably created in CVI and then converted to LabVIEW or is something R&D has created behind the scenes.
