Labview 6.0i control Tektronix TDS 220 Osiclloscope using RS232 interface

I am trying to use Labview 6.0i to transfer the data from Tektronix TDS220 oscilloscope to PC using RS232
interface platform. When I load up the Labview program, I selected the solution wizard button, then
I selected the "Serial", the screen display "Found Hardware....." Then my PC halted down. I rebot the PC and repeated the same procedure again,but my PC still keeping halted whenever I used the solution wizard to
to identify the oscilloscope. Besides that, I also used the avaiable program from NI website, I used a number of VI program including the Oscilloscope driver,
but without any sucess.

Can anyone or experts give an advice to help me solve the problem.

Your description did not provide any information that would indicate that the serial port is working correctly.

Trfy sending a commnad to the scope using Hyperterminal.

If that works then we can concentrate on getting it going in LV.

Let us know how things progress.
