Labview Drivers CD for SXCI Box

I am running a Windows 2000 machine with an AT-MIO-64E-3 card inside.  It is connected to a SCXI-1000 mainframe, which in turn has 1102 and then 1303 modules attached to it.  I installed Labview 7.1 first, followed by Measurement and Automation Explorer 4.2.1.3100 and Traditional NI-DAQ 7.4.4.  The Explorer auto-detects the card and all the SCXI parts and can verify the chassis.  However, when I try and use the Instrument and IO Assistant in Labview, it tells me "Measurement & Automation Explorer or the Instrument IO Assistant is not installed correctly. Please install these from LabVIEW Driver CD."  Do I need to tell Labview where these live on my computer?  Thanks

Instrument I/O Assistant is not part of traditional DAQ. It is a separate install and is selectable from the drivers CD you got with your LabVIEW CD. That doesn't matter because you don't use the assistant with a DAQ device. The Instrument I/O Assistant is for GPIB, serial, Ethernet instruments. If you had a modern DAQ board, you would install DAQmx and use the DAQ Assistant. With your board, you have the shipping examples for traditional DAQ as a starting point for writing your program.
