MXI-3 not detected with a PXI-1045

I had a MXI-3 card in a host computer attached to a PXI-1010 chassis. The MXI-3 card was detected and all cards in the 1010 chassis were detected as well.

Now I've moved the MXI-3 card to a 1045 chassis and now the card and chassis are no longer detected.

Yes, both the power and link lights are lit, but I see no blinking of the rx and tx lights like I did with the 1010 chassis.

The MXI-3 card was plugged in slot 1 of both chassis.

Is there any reason MXI-4 shouldn't work in the 1045 chassis?

Of course, I meant:

Is there any reason why MXI-3 won't work in a PXI-1045, but will in a PXI-1010?

We are glad to hear that you are up and running now.
Did you have to re-adjust the MXI-3 cable?

No, I brought over the 1010 chassis from my desk, removed the MXI-3 w/cable attached to the 1045 and plugged it into the 1010. The remote PC came up just fine, recognizing all cards in the chassis.

I then removed the MXI-3 from the1010 and plugged it back into the 1045. Powered up the 1045 and booted up the PC and the MXI-3 was recognized.

I'm not sure what the problem was, but I've removed the MXI-3 quite a few times from the 1045 and haven't had a problem since.

Now i have a VCI compiler problem. Maybe another thread....
