My AT-GPIB/TNT card prevents Windows NT from booting

I have a P3 with two ISA slots. I am running NT4.0. The system goes though 90 percent of the boot up. The screen goes blank and my PC locks up.

Hi Joe,

This one is certainly a difficult one to debug. The first thing that I would suggest is upgrading your bios. Go to the manufacturers website and look for bios updates. Secondly try a different ISA slot. Sometimes the slot has failed and switching to another slot fixes the problems. Third, check that your jumpers are set corectlly and it agrees with your bios settings. I would also try the card out in another computer. If the same behavior is exhibited, it could be a problem with the board.

Hope this helps,
