NI-488.2 compatibility gpib-enet 1000 and gpib-enet 100

Is there a version of NI-488.2 that will work with either gpib-enet 1000 or gpib-enet 100? When I look at this table, https://www.ni.com/en/support/documentation/compatibility/17/ni-488-2-and-labview-version-compatibil... , its shows different LabVIEW versions but not a transition version where I can replace the enet 1000 with enet 100.

Does newer drivers version of the ni488.2, work with older harder and older LabVIEW version, like the enet 100. Can anyone confirm this works?

Could you tell me the Labview version you are using and the windows version in order to see if they are compatible with the newest version of the NI 488.2 Driver.

I have old software (probably compiled using LabVIEW 7.1) that will not be changed or upgraded that needs to work with gpib-enet 1000 using the identical IP address & adapter# to replace the an gpib-enet 100. In other words, I want to use the enet-1000 as a drop in replacement for the old obsolete enet-100. Question is will this work?

The gpib-enet 1000 shows up as a gpib-enet 100 in MAX communication running the executable is unsuccessful. NI-488.2 version 2.4 and 2.42 (which is version 7.1 LabVIEW)

What do you mean by saying "MAX communication running the executable is unsuccessful", do you get an error code?
