NI-488.2 driver supported on Solaris 10?

Hi everyone,

I am trying to install the NI-488.2 GPIB drivers v2.3 on a Sun system running Solaris 10.  The driver seems to install correctly, but no /dev/gpib device nodes are created.  I tried a reconfiguration boot after installing the driver, but still no device nodes.  Could anyone tell me how to fix this?

Regards,

Sorry, I didn't search the forum properly before posting my question.  I think I have my answer in a thread from a couple of months ago (http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=140&message.id=15209&query.id=4770#M15209).  Sorry about the noise.

Tony

Glad you found our previsous discussions into this issue.  Sun has so far been unwilling to change the name of their infiniband driver to one that doesn't conflict with NI's "ib" driver.  Thus, removing infiniband support seems to be the only workaround at the moment.

Also, note that the NI-488.2 v2.3 driver for Solaris doesn't support Solaris 10 officially.
