Hi There,
I need some help understanding the NI-VISA licensing policy in my case.
As part of my job I'm developing a python-based application that controls a Tektronix oscilloscope using pyvisa with NI-VISA backend.
This application will not be sold to customers, but will be distributed and used by other personnel at my company.
I have a few questions about this situation:
- Making sure - an NI-VISA license is required in this case, correct?
- If so, the relevant license would be this one: https://www.ni.com/en-il/shop/product/ni-visa.html, correct?
- Is it enough that only I or another representative of the company purchase this license once, or do we need a license for every person that uses the application I'm developing?
Thank you,
Eran.

If your application includes any NI Hardware like the USB-GPIB or any NI Software product like LabVIEW, TestStand, that covers you for the VISA license.
Else, you need to buy a VISA license per computer (seat)
