NIPARK.SYS Crashing Win2K

I have a PIX-GPIB board and 488.2 version 2.0 software. The computer crashes randomly and the "blue screen" on Win2K Professional always appears, with following message.

STOP 0x0000001E (0xC0000005, 0xBFE52A99, 0x00000000, 0x00000014)
KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
Address 0xBFE52A99 base at BFE3F000 DataStamp 3CD9AE48 nipalk.sys

This is on a relatively long test (10 hours) and it doesn't happen right away, usually a few hours into the test.

Skura,

Please e-mail the information to the Applications Engineers at the ni.com/ask page. Send information regarding the following:

-- the manufacturer and model specifications of your computer

-- an NI Spy capture that shows the VISA or GPIB calls (depending on what you are using) leading up to the crash, using Spy >> Options >> Log to File

-- the information in the Measurement & Automation Explorer's Help >> Create Report for Technical Support

-- description of the steps that lead up to the crash

The best way to figure out what is happening is to see if there is a way to consistently reproduce the blue screen. The Applications Engineers may have more questions for you based on the information you provide.

Hi Skura. I have the same problem but I use PCI-GPIB, USB-4350 and PCI-1409. Have you found a solution?

Skura,

Please try out the NI-488.2 version 2.1 driver. It is available for download at: http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/websearch/3D536368FAF409A086256D3400650632?opendocument

If the blue screen continues with this version, please e-mail the information to NI Support so that we can fix this in the next driver release.
