Need driver & API for PCI6533

We are looking for GPIB and RS422 PCI cards to use in our simulator, and noticed some promising candidates for both in your product line. We're fairly certain we'll want to go with your PCI-6533 [DIO-32HS] for RS422, but couldn't find a driver, C++ API or programming manual for it. Are these available? If so, our programming team would love to take a look at them.

Hi,

I not exactly sure what you are trying to do here. We have RS 485/422 cards that work just like a RS-232 port. The DIO could be used for communication, but it would be slow was the protocol would be implemented in software. If you are looking to analyze a 422 line, the DIO could definatly do that.

As for GPIB, you can check out the driver at www.ni.com/downloads, and there in manuals o' plenty at ww.ni.com/manuals.

Let me know more about what you are trying to do with the 422 problem, and I'll do my best to help you out!

Hello Aaron,
We aren't trying to emulate RS-232, we're just using the PCI-6533 [DIO-32HS] card for serial RS-422 I/O with various devices. I presume communication with those devices will be managed by their own APIs, with the I/O card's role being transparent to the software. However, we also need to command the I/O card itself to undergo BIT test, so I need the card's API to do that...
