Ni488.2 driver installation problem of vista 32 (TARGETDIR is undefined)

Hi,

I have problems with installation of ni488.2 (Win32) Version 2.5 for Vista x86 driver.
The driver installation stops with message:
„TARGETDIR is undefined, the Directory table seems malformed. Abording..“
How I can installation the driver?

Hello Roland,

please download the gpib driver again (maybe a file is corrupt).
A cutomer get the same error under vista with LV 8.2.1 (see link: http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=243155&requireLogin=False)

For the driver download use the link (the 2.5 driver is the latest driver version):

Please check also vista updates (MSI Installer).
Did you tried to install the driver on another vista pc?

the solution is:
installation as a new local user with admin rights and not as a „old“ domain user with admin rights.
