Hello, I am having the same problem as shared in this older post:
TLDR: the "Scan For Instruments Button" doesn't show up for my GPIB-USB-HS. However, in the previous post the issue ended up being that their versions of Ni 488.2 and LabVIEW were too far apart in age to be compatible. In my case, my NI 488.2 19.5 is said to be compatible with LabVIEW 2018 on this site. I have already gone through all the troubleshooting steps listed in this help page: https://knowledge.ni.com/KnowledgeArticleDetails?id=kA00Z0000019Qd6SAE&l=en-US, nothing works. Anyone have any ideas?

What OS are you running? What bitness of LabVIEW (32 or 64)?
I always stick with the NI488.2 version that matches the LabVIEW version. So if you are running LabVIEW 2018, stick to the 18 drivers. Have you tried removing 19.5 and re-installing 18.x?

Thank you for the input, Craig. I ended up getting it to work by going into NI Package Manager and telling it to install NI 488.2's GPIB analyzer support from the settings button. NI-Max now picks up my GPIB and the device connected to it.
