PC-DIO-96/PnP

I am having problems with recognizing the subject card in my computer.  The computer's OS is Windows 95 ver. 4.00.950 C.  The driver loaded is NIDAQ693.  I am replacing a defective PC-DIO-96/PnP, PN: 183549E-01.  I have noticed that the -01 has items F521, U16, and W2 not installed.  While the -02 has those items installed and U8 and U12 are uninstalled.  Concerns I have is if these two cards are compatable and is the -02 as discribed PnP?  MAX 2.2 also does not find the -02 card in the computer.  Should I upgrade the OS and if so is Windows 95 with USB Support good or Windows 98?  I am also using LabView 5.0 with this system.  Any assistance you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Hello Terry,

Since your system appears considerably old and antiquated, my suggestion is to upgrade to a new computer with at least a Windows XP SP3 operating system.  Hardware becomes unreliable over the course of time.  Since your system is over a decade old, your system may become subject to more issues in the near future.  Moreover, we have since stopped supporting NI-DAQ and recommend customers to upgrade to NI-DAQmx.  If you do need additional support, please call National Instruments support and an applications engineer would be happy to further assist you in this matter.  Below are a few links regarding the upgrade process:
