Problem controlling Sorensen DLM 40-15 DC power supply

Hi All,

I'm facing a very weird problem while controlling the Sorensen DLM 40-15(LXI Instrument). I have a code written in C# to reset the DC power supply. It throws exeception on the PC where i have to manually detected the Sorensen DLM 40-15 in NI-MAX,but the same code works fine where LAN based instruments are Auto-detected in NI-MAX.

Is there some MAX setting i need to change or some problem with MAX?:mansad:

Hi VDC,

You need to configure the devices in MAX before using them.  That being said, an LXI device should operate in the same manner as a LAN device.  Can you auto-detect it in MAX, or does it only appear when you manually enter the information in?  Is the device on the same subnet?  I recommend taking a look at the KnowledgeBase article on Configuring Instruments to Communicate over TCP/IP to verify that everything is being set up correctly.
