Problem with ni-visa 301 full software

Hi,

I downloaded the NI-VISA 301 full software from NI website. But it had some problem to set it up in my computer. I tried to download the same program from different computers. The results were the same. Please replace this software.

What exactly was the problem you were having? Also, version 3.6 is the latest version for windows. Is there a reason you don't want to install this?

Hi,

When I installed the program, it showed some message that  the program was damaged. I tried different computers and I got the same result. Windows 98 is the OS I am using now for my old computer. It's Pentium MMX  200Mhz. That all I can do for the computer like that.

It sounds like something may have gotten corrupted in the download. Have you tried to re-download it?

I downloaded for few times. I got the same result. It's the reason why I would like to ask the NI people to make sure the program has no problem first. Then I will download it again.

I downloaded the program from NI website again. And then unzipped it. It showed it's a damaged zip file. It happened again and again. So I beg NI people to replace the damaged file. I need this visa 3.01 prgram to complete my project now. Please help me. Help! Help! and help....Or you e-mail me the program.

At what point do you get the message that it's damaged? I downloaded the self-extracting exe and ran it. After extracting the files, the installer began. I canceled it because I didn't want to install an old version but I didn't see any problems. You may be able to contact NI directly and request a CD. Also, you should be downloading the VISA run-time engine I believe because you don't have a LabVIEW or LabWindows license.

I have four computers at home. I tried to download the programs with my laptop and my older computer. At the time I tried to unzip the program. It showed the problem program message. I will try to download the program with my desktop computer. It has the latest technology. I have downloaded many different programs from NI. It's the first time I have problem like that.

You downloaded the archive with different PCs. But did you also try to unzip/install it on different PCs ? Or did you allways  move the archive to the same PC before unzipping it ?
