Questions about reading waveform from TDS3054C oscilloscope.

Hi There,  I am trying to use Labview 8.5 to read waveform from a new TDS 3054C oscilloscope, i downloaded the driver package (TDS 3000 series.....VI) from NI, and I use readwaveform.VI, however, I got an error message: “TDS time out, no listener...” I have verified the address is correct: “GPIB0::1::INSTR”I use USB-GPIB interface, so is that an issue for this case?  Thanks.  Mike	Options

Hey Mike,

I noticed on the driver's download page that the TDS 3054C isn't listed as a supported device for that driver.  This may be causing your timeout error.  Are you able to successfully communicate to the GPIB device by sending the identification string *IDN? using the VISA Interactive Control utility in Measurement and Automation Explorer?  Be sure when using this utility that you send a known working command for that device and one that you'll know the appropriate response to the command.
