Hi
I'm trying to update the firmware on my GPIB-ENET/100. Following the procedures on the website, I am trying to detect the device in Measurement and Automation Explorer. I click "create new device" and select the GPIB-ENET/100 from the list.
Results in "Runtime Error! R6030 - CRT not initialized" I searched the forums and found this popping up in lots of other places but none that apply to this situation. Windows 7 PC with the most recent NI software and 488.2 and VISA.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

-GPIB TROUBLESHOOTING UTILITY
GPIB Interactive Control will run but I can't seem to communicate to the box.

Hello David,
Are these the instructions you followed? What version of NI 488.2 driver do you have on that machine? Also, can you try this on another machine to make sure that it is not a problem with the device? Have you tried to reset the device to its original default configuration? This is shown on the baseplate label, press and hold the CFG RESET switch while you switch the power on. You may have to hold down the CFG button for up to minute to completely reset the device. The CFG RESET switch is located on the rear panel of the GPIB-ENET/100. Hold off on resetting the device until we figure out if this is a driver issue or a firmware issue.

Jeff L.

Hi Jeff,
Yes those are the instructions I tried to use. NI 488.2 driver version 3.0.2. I got it to work on my Windows 7 laptop. I was able to update to the most recent firmware and can communicate with the GPIB-ENET/100 and control several test instruments. Still doesn't work with the original computer I tried it on. So I have a work around, but it would be nice to know why it wont work with my work desktop pc. If there is any more information I can provide you with please let me know.
Thanks,
David
