REN dropped when application terminates

I'm using CVI 8.0 and the NI GPIB library with a NI PCMCIA GPIB controlller/analyzer.

When my aplpication terminates, the REN line gets de-asserted and all of my instrumentation goes to local state.

This isn't good.  Anyone know how to prevent this?  I think it's happening when the GPIB dll detaches when the process terminates.

Hi Menchar,

What version of NI-488.2 are you using?  Have you reproduced the error with a simplified version of your code to narrow down what might be causing the issue?  I would suggest taking a NI-Spy capture of the GPIB calls to help get a better idea of what might be causing the REN line to de-assert.  Reference the Performing a Good NI-Spy Capture article for directions on how to use NI-Spy.
